ECOTOPIA – transformative agroecology program
about ecotopia
is a collaborative process that aims to accelerate the global transition to equitable, climate resilient, and biodiverse food systems in Africa, Asia, and South America by empowering smallholder communities, particularly women and youth, to lead the transition, co-create solutions and a compelling body of evidence to influence national and international policy and financing platforms in favor of agroecology, based on the 13 Principles of Agroecology.
in a nutshell
ecotopia is built on 3 pillars:
- Knowledge Exchange, Co-Creation and Research: A comprehensive knowledge base and exchange platform provides validated, gender responsive experiences, local innovation and tools.
- Local Practice & Innovation: Participatory agroecology practices and climate change adaptation measures are adopted, scaled and strengthen capacities of field workers, farmers, and local partners for systemic change.
