Local Practice and Innovation – Local Partner Projects
ESAFF Uganda strengthens the Ugandan agroecology movement by promoting a positive narrative around agroecology and deepening understanding of it, training facilitators, champions and media professionals. The team supports ongoing learning, innovation and the creation of evidence through agroecology schools, centres of excellence, the co-development of knowledge packages around agroecological practices and participation in platforms. By supporting participation in national policy processes, the project empowers agroecology stakeholders to advocate for their needs.
Ziel des Projekts
Das Projekt SDG13 – Climate Action, unterstützt von Ecotopia und horizont3000, zielt darauf ab, die Kapazitäten ostafrikanischer zivilgesellschaftlicher Organisationen zu stärken, um:

Klimaschutz und Anpassung an den Klimawandel zu fördern

Gendergerechte und effektive Klimapolitik und -planung zu unterstützen

Frauen, Jugendliche und marginalisierte Gruppen zu stärken
Aktivitäten
Das Projekt unterstützt 21 Partnerorganisationen von horizont3000 in Ostafrika (Uganda, Tansania, Kenia und Äthiopien) durch:

Ressourcenmobilisierung:
Bereitstellung von Informationen zu Klimafinanzierungsoptionen und Unterstützung bei der Antragstellung -
Kapazitätsaufbau:
Bedarfsanalyse und Durchführung von Trainings zu Klima- und Umweltthemen -
Umwelt- und Klima-Mainstreaming:
Entwicklung von Leitlinien, um Partner bei der Integration von Umwelt- und Klimabelangen in ihre Arbeit zu unterstützen -
Wissensaustausch:
Regelmäßige Online- und Präsenzmeetings und Erfahrungsaustausch -
Strategische Beratung:
Unterstützung bei der Umsetzung von klima- und umweltfreundlichen Projekten
